CAFGU EMPOWERMENT: CAFGU Active Auxiliaries Hone Skills on Leadership and Development with Soldier Peers

A closing ceremony marked the successful completion of crucial training programs for troops of the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) last February 13, 2024, at 53IB Headquarters, Camp Sabido, Poblacion, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur.

The Battalion saw the culmination of the Small Unit Leadership and Development Training (SULDT), IED Awareness Training, and Gender Sensitivity Training.

The SULDT equipped 7 CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs) along with 7 Enlisted Personnel with valuable knowledge and skills necessary to effectively lead small units, fostering better decision-making, communication, and teamwork within their ranks. Likewise, the IED Awareness Training provides crucial knowledge on how to identify and handle improvised explosive devices, safeguarding soldiers and civilians from potential harm. Additionally, the Gender Sensitivity Training promotes understanding and respect for diversity, ensuring a more inclusive and effective military force.

By investing in the training and development of CAFGU personnel, the 53IB ensures a disciplined and tactically proficient active auxiliaries who are at par with active soldiers thereby contributing to a safer and more secure ZamboSur.
