Philppine Army, Coast Guard, PNP Secure Coastal Communities of Zamboanga del Sur in Joint Littoral Security Operation

Underscoring the power of inter-agency collaboration in securing our communities, a joint operation comprising members of the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and Kumalarang Municipal Police Station successfully conducted littoral security operations in Zamboanga del Sur yesterday, February 11.

CAFGU Active Auxiliaries from Picanan Patrol Base joined hands with the PCG and Kumalarang MPS personnel to patrol the coastal areas of Barangays Gusom, Bualan, and Cabug Island in Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur.

This combined effort demonstrates the importance of convergence in joint security operations. By uniting their resources and expertise, the participating agencies enhanced their operational reach and effectiveness.

The coastal security operation highlights the critical role of joint security operations and joint law enforcement operations in safeguarding coastal communities of the province from potential threats such as piracy, extortion, and other criminal activities.
