ELCAC Barangay Inaugurates Place of Worship; Conducts Thanksgiving, Farmers’ Day
With the goal of bringing people closer to God, the local community of Barangay of Saad, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur inaugurated the Liberty Bible Baptist Mission, a place worship, on June 26, 2023.
The church inauguration and blessing was graced by Rev. Horacio Paul T. Anlap of Liberty Bible Baptist Church (LBBC) – Bayog as Guest Speaker. The Liberty Bible Baptist Mission also celebrated the Thanksgiving and Farmers’ Day during the said church blessing.
Last June 17, 2023, Rev. Tiondo conducted mass baptism for the people of Barangay Saad at the Tabak Beach, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur, and conducted a team-building activity afterwards.
Meanwhile, 53IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Terence Ylanan extended his utmost gratitude for the significant contributions of Rev. Albert Roy Tiondo, in bringing the people of Saad closer to God.
Barangay Saad is a beneficiary of the government’s Barangay Development Program through the Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict.
The construction of the church was supported by various stakeholders including the 53IB, the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur headed by Governor and PTF-ELCAC Chairperson Gov. Victor J. Yu; the Municipal Government of Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur headed by Mayor and MTF-ELCAC Chairperson Hon. Gerry T. Paglinawan; ESR Construction; Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur Mayor Eduardo Relacion; and Omnigreen Enterprises.
