GIVING LAST RESPECTS TO FALLEN ENEMY: Army, Dumingag MTF-ELCAC Facilitate Return of Abandoned, Killed NPA to Family

The Philippine Army’s 102nd Infantry “Igsoon” Brigade (102Bde) and Dumingag Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC) facilitated the return of a fallen NPA terrorist to his family residing in Barangay Dilud, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur on June 24, 2023.

The neutralized NPA, a remnant of the CPP-NPA-NDF’s Western Mindanao Regional Party Committee (WMRPC), was abandoned by his comrades following the armed encounter with government troops last June 23, 2023 in Barangay Sunop of the same town.

“The CTGs, the prime violators of basic human rights, always abandon their fallen comrades just to save themselves from the might and power of our government forces,” said 102Bde Commander Col. Elmer Suderio.

Our troops passionately navigated through heavily vegetated terrain and heavy rain just to retrieve the cadaver of the fallen NPA, so he can be brought back to his family.

The Army also expresses its gratitude to the Dumingag MTF-ELCAC headed by Mayor Gerry Paglinawan for the support in bringing the fallen NPA to his families.
