Uniformed Personnel Hold Peace Concert in Commemoration of 125th Independence Day in Pagadian City
The 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) and other men and women in uniform held a peace concert dubbed as “MUSIKALAYAAN 2023” in commemoration of the 125th Independence Day yesterday, June 12, 2023, at Plaza Luz, Pagadian City.
The concert included performances from Pinyalan Cultural Dance Group, 1st FAB Beat ’em Movers, 1st CMO “Mahigalaon” Band, BFP Band, Tabak Defense Press Corps, Ms. Sid Rodriguez, Close Quarter Battle performance of 902nd MC-RMFB9, Friends Rescued (FR) Testimonies and Squad Tactics and Maneuver performance of 53rd Infantry Battalion.
Booths were also placed in Plaza Luz where Static Display and other equipment of participating units: 1st Field Artillery Battalion; 53rd Infantry Battalion; 1st CMO Battalion; 547th Engineer Battalion; 1st Cavalry Battalion; Philippine Air Force’s Tactical Operations Group 9 (TOG9); Philippine Coast Guard Sub-Station Pagadian; PNP’s Pagadian City Police Station, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, and Regional Mobile Force Battalion; Bureau of Fire Protection; 4th Civil Relations Group; and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency.
In his Asenso Pagadian message, Pagadian City mayor Hon. Samuel S. Co expressed his gratitude to the uniformed men and women for their hardwork, unwavering commitment, and selfless sacrifices to protet the vulnerable and those in need.
Mayor Sammy Co also presented a Certificate of Commendation to the participating units as symbol of sincerest gratitude to the uniformed personnel’s remarkable dedication.
