Friends Rescued Receive Immediate Cash Assistance from Dumingag LGU

Six Friends Rescued (FRs) of the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) received Immediate Cash Assistance from the Municipal Government of Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur on May 25, 2023, at Dumingag Municipal Hall, Zamboanga del Sur.

The said financial assistance amounting to a total of Php 120,000.00 was given to the FRs by Dumingag Mayor and Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC) Hon. Gerry T. Paglinawan. This financial aid will significantly help the FRs address their immediate needs.

The FRs were accompanied by 53IB’s Bravo Company Commander 1Lt. Jaymar Paderes together with Legal NCO Cpl Jevelen Robledo and Civil-Military Operations NCO Cpl. Mark Dave Abog.

53IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Terence Ylanan expressed his sincerest gratitude to Mayor Paglinawan and whole of Dumingag LGU for the realization of this initiative and for giving premium to the welfare of the FRs.
