Visit of Division Sergeant Major, 1ID to 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion

Guipos, ZDS – May 14, 2023 – The 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion was honored to receive the esteemed Division Sergeant Major, Senior Master Sergeant Rorie Richie M Acasio from the 1st Infantry Division, Philippine Army, accompanied by Sergeant Major, 1CMOBn TSg Samuel N Podiotan and Chief Clerk, OG1, TSg Manny S Lumayag.

During his visit, Division Sergeant Major SMS Acasio delivered an inspiring message to the troops, emphasizing the importance of unity, resilience, and professionalism in carrying out their duties. He commended the soldiers of the 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding peace and security in the region. He also highlighted the significance of their role in upholding the nation’s sovereignty and protecting the welfare of its citizens.

Furthermore, as a symbol of appreciation and recognition, 53IB Sergeant Major Vicente A Mayo presented a memento to Division Sergeant Major Acasio, symbolizing the battalion’s gratitude for his visit and continued support.
