EMBRACING LEADERSHIP: 53IB Welcomes New Alpha Company Commander

The 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) installed 1Lt. Luke Creighton Patacsil as new company commander of its Alpha “Archers” Company in an Assumption of Command Ceremony held on May 16, 2023, at Upper Landing Patrol Base, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur.

1Lt. Patacsil brings a wealth of knowledge and experience appropriate to his new role as the new Commanding Officer of Alpha Company after graduating from the Army’s Infantry Officers’ Advance Course. With his experience, leadership skills, and dedication to duty, he is well-equipped to guide and inspire the soldiers under his command.

Lt. Col. Terence Ylanan presided the ceremony and encouraged the newly-installed officer to exert his best efforts to destroy enemies of the state in order to protect peace and contribute to development in Zamboanga del Sur.
