Zamboanga del Sur Governor Recognized for Invaluable Support Rendered to the Philippine Army

Zamboanga del Sur Governor and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) Chairperson Hon. Victor J. Yu received the “Pagkakaisa” Army Stakeholder Award which was given by no other than the Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S Brawner, Jr. during the 87th Founding Anniversary of the Army’s Premier Division – the 1st Infantry (TABAK) Division – on May 5, 2023, held at Tabak Wellness Gym, 1ID Headquarters, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.

The award was given in recognition for his invaluable support to the Philippine Army’s deradicalization and reintegration program for Friends Rescued (FRs) and for his generous effort in assisting the Philippine Army units attain its goals and objectives in the province.

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB), whose area of responsibility is the whole of Zamboanga del Sur, is also deeply honored and privileged for the said award.

The CGPA also expressed his gratitude to the stakeholder awardees for their invaluable support to the Philippine Army, stating that their unwavering commitment has made a significant impact in achieving peace and development in the country.
