UNWAVERING SUPPORT FOR PEACE: Residents from former CPP-NPA-Influenced Barangays Receive Payout from DOLE’S TUPAD Program

Residents from Barangays Saad and Dilud of Dumingag town in Zamboanga del Sur, classified as former safe havens of the members of the Communist Party of the Philippines – New People’s Army (CPP-NPA), received payouts from Department of Labor and Employment’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program in a simple payout activity held last February 27, 2023.

62 residents from Barangay Saad and 150 residents from Barangay Dilud benefitted from the said program.

The payout was facilitated by a team from DOLE-ZDS Field Office led by its OIC Ms. Miraflor J. Casanes together with Dumingag Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC) Chairperson and mayor Hon. Gerry T. Paglinawan and 53IB’s Bravo Company.
