STRENGTHENING PARTNERSHIPS: “Tagapanguna” Battalion Commander Visits Matapat Headquarters

The Commanding Officer of the Philippine Army’s 1st Cavalry “Tagapanguna” Battalion (1CAV) Lt. Col. John Mark S Competente visited 53IB Headquarters and paid a courtesy call to 53IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Terence P Ylanan on February 28, 2023.

During the visit, the two commanders discussed the strengthening of partnerships to sustain Zamboanga del Sur as insurgency-free and development-ready province. A tree-planting activity was also held at the Matapat Community Firing Range.
