NURTURING PEACE: 53IB Joins 1st Quarter Peace and Order Council Meetings in Zamboanga del Sur
The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) participated in the 1st Quarter Provincial and Municipal Peace and Order Council meetings at the provincial, city and at different Municipalities of Zamboanga del Sur.
The said quarterly event strengthens commitments and enable strong collaborations with different peacekeeping agencies in the fields of conflict prevention, conflict management, peacekeeping, and other efforts in sustaining the peace and order in respective administrative jurisdictions.
The meetings addresses prevailing peace and order issues through an inter-agency and multi-stakeholder collaboration effort spearheaded by the Chief Executives in the Province, City and Municipalities.
