INTENSIFYING PEACEKEEPING EFFORTS-: 53IB’s Charlie Company Conducts Mobile Patrol in Lapuyan, Kumalarang and Margosatubig

The Charlie Company of the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) conducted mobile patrol and show of force in Lapuyan, Kumalarang and Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur in the first three weeks of January 2023 to prevent kidnapping incidents, smuggling, and extortion in the area.

The patrol was successful, and the troops were able to engage with local residents and assess the security situation in the area. The show of force served as a deterrent to any criminal activity and helped to maintain peace and stability in the region.

The activity helped the troops gained a heightened sense of mission accomplishment, with the knowledge that they have played a significant role in maintaining security and order in their area of responsibility.

Charlie Company will continue to conduct regular patrols and shows of force in the area to ensure the safety and security of the local population and to prevent any criminal activity.
