IN PHOTOS|| Continuing Road Repair by 547th ECBn in Brgy Saad

The Philippine Army’s 547th Engineer Battalion, 54th Engineer Brigade in partnership with the ZDS LGU is nearing completion of road enhancement at Barangay Saad, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur.

The repair and enhancement of a road segment near the Brgy Saad Elementary School was initiated as a response from the clamor of residents who fear that a landslide-prone hill at the back of the school might collapse unto the school building endangering the safety of young students.

The issue was promptly addressed with the provision of engineering equipment and personnel by the Philippine Army ably supported with expert and logistics support from the provincial government.

Graveling of the road is now ongoing, and in a few weeks the project is expected to be completed with the safety of the children using the school building near the road finally assured.
