HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE | 53IB Extends Aid to Affected Communities in Pagadian City

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) conducted Disaster Response Operations (DRO) and extended aid to affected civilians during the strong rain and winds yesterday night, October 2, 2022, in Pagadian City.

The 53IB deployed one platoon led by 1Lt. Jonathan Cernitchez and one KM250 military truck to help the civilian residents who vacated the boulevard and coastline area.

1Lt. Cernitchez said the 53IB will keep extending its aid and support to the families that need help.

“We will continue to help and serve our fellow Filipinos who were affected by this phenomenon,” said 1Lt. Cernitchez

The Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) were also in the area to extend their aid.
