CRSAFP, MSAB Visits 53IB in Zamboanga del Sur

The Civil Relations Service, Armed Forces of the Philippines and its Multi-Sector Advisory Board (MSAB) visited the 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion of the Philippine Army’s 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division at Camp Maj. Sabido, Guipos town, Zamboanga del Sur on September 15, 2022.

The CRSAFP contingent led by Col. Medel M. Aguilar, Acting Commander of CRSAFP and Mr. Jose L. Rosete, President of CRSAFP’s MSAB Board of Advisers was received by Lt. Col. Terence P. Ylanan, Commanding Officer of 53IB.

A short program was held at the 53IB Good Life Village to strengthen linkages and explore possible partnerships between the CRSAFP and 53IB. During the program, the CRSAFP MSAB donated a grinder machine for the production of friends rescued’s (FRs) corn coffee products.

Col. Marlowe E. Patria, CRSAFP Chief of Staff and former Commanding Officer of 53IB was also part of the CRSAFP contingent together with other key officers of CRSAFP.

1Lt. George V. Yu Jr., 53IB Civil Military Officer and Dr. Moibe F. Olitres, a proponent of 53IB’s Project Good Life presented the 53IB’s program for friends rescued or FRs.

The FRs expressed their gratefulness for the donation given by CRSAFP MSAB. “The grinder machine will be truly helpful in the production of our corn coffee products,” the FRs said.
