Reformed Friends Rescued Give Thanks to Government; presents Livelihood product to Secretary Abalos

The Friends Rescued (FRs) and Project Good Life finishers of the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) performed an intermission number during the Regionalized Demilitarization of Turned-in Firearms and Awarding of E-CLIP Benefit Package in Zamboanga Peninsula, held at the Provincial Government Complex, Dao, Pagadian City on August 12, 2022.

The performance highlighted the FRs’ change of attitude into a more free, happy disposition in contrast to their previous lives while they were still members of communist terrorist groups (CTGs).

The FRs also had the opportunity to present their Roasted Corn Powder product to DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos during the said activity. Engaging in a livelihood enterprise means the FRs now participates in a free market economy in a democratic society. It was also commended by Sec. Abalos because of its “export quality.”
