IN PHOTOS | 53IB Celebrates Iftar Offering in Damataling, ZDS

Joyful and grateful children can be seen after the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) held a feeding program in joining the Iftar Offering in Barangay Saloagan, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur on April 24, 2022 – catering 630 Moro people – as part of celebrating the Holy Month of Ramadhan in the province.

Iftar is one of the religious observances of Ramadhan with a community Maghrib evening prayer and meal to break the whole day fasting at sunset. Ramadhan, which started on April 1 this year, is annually observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting prayer, reflection, and service to the community. It commemorates the first spiritual revelation of Prophet Muhammad, one of the Five Pillars of Islam.
