The Commanding Officer of the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) assures the people of Zamboanga del Sur that Special CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (SCAA) will not be used and deployed in election-related activities.

“The 53IB, your Philippine Army in Zamboanga del Sur, will continue to be a professional, impartial, and apolitical organization,” said Lt. Col. Herrera during the Local Peace Forum on National and Local Elections 2022 held at Springland Resort, Pagadian City on April 25, 2022.
