A MATAPAT CHRISTMAS | 53IB Opens Christmas Village to the Public

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) held the ceremonial lighting of its Christmas Village yesterday, December 9, at 53rd IB Headquarters, Villanueva Road, Camp Sabido, Purok 1A, Poblacion, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur.

In his message, 53IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera said the Christmas Village will remind everyone of the true essence of Christmas.

“This is one of giving thanks to the Almighty, represented by these colors and lights— joy, thanksgiving, and happiness.”

The Christmas Village features Christmas decorations such as Toy Land Christmas, Winter Wonderland Christmas, Christmas in our Hearts, Santa Claus Reindeer, Angel Christmas, Candy Land Christmas, Pasong Pinoy Village, Busy Christmas Village, Secret Garden Christmas, and Christmas Symbols.

53IB’s Christmas Village is open to the public every 6PM to 9:30PM, provided that the visitors are fully vaccinated against COVID.
