SELFLESS SERVICE | Medical Frontliners Recognized During 53IB’s Flag Raising Ceremony

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) recognized medical frontliners during today’s flag raising ceremony, November 22, as a symbol of its gratitude to the frontliners’ service and sacrifices.

Certificates of Appreciation were presented to the Municipal Health Officer and Staff of Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur for their dedication and unwavering services rendered as Rural Health Unit Frontliners of COVID-19 Pandemic in the Province of Zamboanga del Sur, that greatly contributed to the success of Government’s Vaccination Program by serving with highest degree of selflessness, professionalism and public service.

The recipients of the Certificates of Appreciation were:1. Dr. Joy Mae R. Patangan, M.D — Municipal Health Officer – DTTB2. Francita C. Petiluna, R.N — Nurse III – MESU3. Diogenesa A. Ceballos Jr, R.N — VacinatorIn her message, Guipos MHO Dr. Joy Mae Patangan, M.D. expressed her gratitude to 53IB for the said recognition to Guipos RHU, saying that we are all one and together in desiring to keep the people safe from the invisible foe.

Meanwhile, 53IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera also expressed his gratitude to the medical frontliners for their untiring dedication to their duties.”

This is our way of expressing our utmost gratitude to our medical frontliners and hope to uplift their morale as they fight this unseen enemy,” said Lt. Col. Herrera.
