IN PHOTOS! BDP Project in Guipos Finally Inaugurated

The Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ZDS PTF-ELCAC) inaugurated the Barangay Development Program (BDP) Project in Barangay Datagan, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur after the Groundbreaking Ceremony was held last October 15.

The said groundbreaking ceremony for the Concreting of Barangay Road from Purok IV to Purok IA at 1.6km in Barangay Datagan was spearheaded by ZamboSur PTF-ELCAC Chairperson and Governor Victor J. Yu together with Guipos Vice Mayor Junevell Lami-ing.Barangay Datagan is a previous conflict-affected barangay and was declared “clear” from the Communist-Terrorist Group (CTG) influence through the Army’s Community Support Program (CSP) in September 2019.

It will receive 20M as part of the BDP, the flagship program of ELCAC which was conceptualized to finally address insurgency by bringing sustainable solutions and basic services to communities in need.

The activity was also participated by Zamboanga del Sur Youth Movement President Victoria Yu, DILG-IX LGMED Chief Mr. Ruel Trobanos, 53IB’s Civil-Military Operations Officer 2Lt. George Yu Jr, 547th Engineer Battalion Executive Officer Maj. Aclo, and ZamboSur Provincial Engineer Antonio Laurenciana.
