The Municipal Government of Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur and the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) converged to sustain the peace and security situation in the said town during the recently-held Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) Meeting at Municipal Gymnasium, Poblacion, Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur
The said meeting discussed the government’s Sustainment efforts in the town, current enemy situation updates, and other ELCAC activities.
Tigbao has six (6) barangays that are included in the Barangay Development Program—ELCAC’s flagship program conceptualized to bring sustainable solutions and basic services to communities in need.
These barangays are: Nangan-nangan, New Tuburan, Mati, Lacarayan, Guinlin, and Timolan.The MPOC was spearheaded by Tigbao Mayor Eleazar Carcallas and was participated by PNP, DILG, NGCP, BFP, DepEd, DTI, PDEA, and Tigbao RHU, and 53IB’s Executive Officer Cpt. Bahnarin Camsa.
