CONVERGENCE TOWARD PEACE AND SECURITY | LGU, 53IB Collaborate to Sustain Peace in Siayan

The Municipal Government of Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte and the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) collaborated to sustain the peace in the said town during the recently-held Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) Meeting at Siayan Sports Complex, Poblacion, Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte.

The said meeting discussed the government’s Sustainment efforts in the town, current enemy situation updates, ongoing construction of Patrol Base for CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs) in Barangay Macasing, and other ELCAC activities.Siayan has three (3) barangays which are set to be included in Barangay Development Program, namely: Macasing, Pange, and Guibo.

The MPOC was spearheaded by Siayan Mayor Atty. Josecor Gepolongca together with Vice Mayor Primitivo Castillo, MLGOO Mr Chandiramani Obut, 53IB Bravo Company Personnel Cpl Fernando Carro Jr, PSSg Niel Dumajel, MPDO Mr. Sixto Atuy Jr., MENRO Mr. Xiaver Indiape Jr., LDRRMO III Mr. Renerio Adaza, SF03 Jay A. Balasabas and the Barangay Captains of Siayan.
