LOOK | Indigenous Peoples Consulted in Dumingag

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) participated in Indigenous Peoples (IP) Community Consultation together with selected Dumingag Sangguniang Bayan Members, PNP, and PENRO, ZDS to discuss the ELCAC projects that will benefit the IP community in Barangay Dilud, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur..

Barangay Dilud, a previous conflict affected barangay, was delcared “clear” of CPP-NPA influence in April 2019.

It will receive 20-million pesos worth of projects as it is included in Barangay Development Program (BDP), the flagship program of the Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (TF-ELCAC) which was conceptualized to finally address insurgency by bringing sustainable solutions and basic services to communities in need.
