The troops of the Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) and 547th Engineer “Agila” Battalion (547EBn) participated in a Mass Bloodletting Activity in Barangay Pisompongan, Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur with the theme “Imong Dugo, Makasalbar ug Kinabuhi.

“Said bloodletting activity was spearheaded by the Municipal Government of Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur together with its Rural Health Unit (RHU).Midsalip is a previous conflict-affected municipality with four (4) previous conflict-affected barangays which are adjacent to Barangay Pisompongan, namely: Balonai, Cabaluran, Duelic, and Piwan— all of which were declared “clear” of CPP-NPA influence in 2019.
