LOOK! 53IB, ZSPPO Plant Trees, Exhibit their Marksmanship and Accuracy Skills after JPSCC

The Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office (ZSPPO) and the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) planted trees and exhibited their pistol marksmanship and accuracy skills after the recently-held Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Council (JPSCC) Meeting yesterday, September 21, at 53rd IB Headquarters, Camp Sabido, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur.

The tree planting activity was part of their commitment to protect the environment, raise awareness,diminish the unfavorable effects of climate change.

The peacekeepers also exhibited their marksmanship skills in a simple fellowship pistol firing activity held at the Matapat Firing Range inside 53rd IB Headquarters.

The 53IB and the ZSPPO are co-chairs of the Peace, Law Enforcement and Development Support (PLEDS) Cluster of the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC).PLEDS is one of the 12 lines of efforts of ELCAC at the national, regional, provincial and municipal levels.
