GIVING DISTINCTION: 53IB Commanding Officer Recognizes CAAs in Remote Patrol Base
As part of its commitment to keep the CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs) motivated to do their mandate of serving the people, the Commanding Officer of the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera awarded Certificates of Recognition and Letters of Commendation during his visit at Cogonan Patrol Base, a remote patrol base in the town of Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur.
The Certificates of Recognition were presented to CAA Avelino Balang and CAA Aurelio Macatulad for their 25 and 30 years, respectively, of invaluable service and dedication to duty as members of Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) Delta Company, 53IB that contributed much to the accomplishment of the unit’s mission.
Letters of Commendation were also given to CAA Edgar Arante, Edgar Arante, Gilbert Asdolo, Gilbert Balang, Ricky Balang, Wennie Bantayan, Roberto Bantulinay, Lucio Bicagas, Mandrile Cabiling, Marlon Cabiling, Artemio Cano, Rene Dalansay, Warlito Gumitao, Antonio Intapa, Ferdinand Lumilis , Romeo Mandawan, Marito Sandigon, CAAThata Sandigon, Lemuel Suhay, and CAA Nardo Tabar for their untiring efforts and significant contribution for the dismantling of Regional Urban Committee (RUC), Regional Operational Command (ROC) of the Western Mindanao Regional Party Committee (WMRPC).
Lt. Col. Herrera in his message inspired and motivated the CAAs to perform their respective duties.”We will not fail to recognize your efforts and sacrifices.
You have done and served well the people of Cogonan,” said Lt. Col. Herrera.
