Matapat Troopers Awarded Military Merit, Commendation Medals for Invaluable Service, Dedication to Duty

In strict observance of pandemic protocols, the morale of troops of the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) was boosted as they received Military Merit Medals (MMM) and Military Commendation Medals (MCM) in a simple awarding ceremony held yesterday, September 10.

The awards were given for their meritorious performance of duty and invaluable services rendered.

Troops who received the MMM were: Staff Sgt. Roilo Anadia, Sgt. Joseph Torayno, Sgt Dioscoro Cayongcong, Sgy Jomar Canto, Cpl Ernesto Macas, Troops who received the MCM were: Cpl Eduard Aguhob, Cpl Airel Gomez.

By these remarkable achievements, above-named Enlisted Personnel earned distinct credit and honor not only for themselves and for the Philippine Army but also for the Armed Forces of the Philippines as well.
