IN ACTION! BDS, 53IB Establish Checkpoint, Outpost to Keep Community Safe

The Barangay Defense System (BDS) of the hinterland barangay of Sinonok in Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur composed of its tanods and Civilian Volunteers Organization (CVOs) and the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) joined hands in establishing a BDS Checkpoint and Outpost in the said barangay to protect the people from CPP-NPA terrorist atrocities and infiltration

The BDS Checkpoint and Outpost will also help in the monitoring of CPP-NPA terrorist movement in the barangay, thus keeping the community from the terrorists’ harm.
