STRENGTHENING DETACHMENT SECURITY: 53IB Installs Solar-Powered Flood Lights in Sunop Patrol Base
The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) installed solar-powered flood lights, donated by Zamboanga del Sur Governor Victor J. Yu, to act as perimeter lights in Sunop Patrol Base in the far-flung barangay of Sunop in Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur to provide clear area visibility from a distance to see anyone moving in or around said patrol bases.
The solar flood lights also provide the ability to light even the most remote locations for safety and security. These solar flood lights can be installed in just about any location with no need for access to traditional power. The said flood lights, will not only provide safety and security for the patrol base and its CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs) but will also deter crime against property and people in the surrounding areas.
