IN PHOTOS| CAAs in Far-Flung Detachment Happy to Receive Food Packs from LGU, Philarpat Uniforms from Matapat Troopers

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) and the Municipal Government of Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur brought happiness to CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs) at Bacayawan Patrol Base in Barangay Bacayawan, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur as they advanced 53IB’s “Better Life: Adopt-a-CAFGU Program” on August 20, 2021.

The CAAs received food packs from the LGU headed by Dimataling mayor Avelino Yrauda and PhilArPat uniforms from the Matapat Troopers. The children of CAAs received slippers and a feeding program was also conducted during this special day.Mayor Yrauda in his message expressed his support to the CAAs, acknowledging their efforts as frontliners and peacekeepers of the barangay and the town of Dimataling as a whole.

The “Better Life: Adopt a CAFGU Project” is one of this unit’s best practices and forms part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
