ELCAC LEGAL CLUSTER MOBILIZATION | ZamboSur PTF-ELCAC Legal Cooperation Cluster Serves Warrants to Friends Rescued

The Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) Legal Cooperation Cluster served warrants of arrest to Friends Rescued (FRs) at 53IB Headquarters, Camp Sabido, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur on August 27, 2021.

The serving of warrant of arrest is a necessary procedure before their benefits under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) can be processed. In a statement, 53IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera expressed his gratitude to the Legal Cooperation Cluster for their untiring commitment to help the FRs.

“We are grateful for the Legal Cooperation Cluster and their dedication and untiring commitment to help our Friends Rescued. After this, our FRs will be able to receive their benefits under E-CLIP,” said Lt. Col. Herrera.

Meanwhile, 102nd Infantry Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Leonel Nicolas lauded the efforts of Legal Cooperation Cluster in processing the cases filed against the FRs.”

The activity was attended by Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Director PCol. Roel Lami-ing, Atty. Ruel Saniel from Provincial Legal Office (PLO), PMaj/Atty. Ryan Marasigan Hernandez – PO, CIDG ZDS PFU, and representatives from various Municipal Police Stations of Zamboanga del Sur.

After the procedure, the nine (9) FRs will be presented to the Hall of Justice and will be requested for custody in 53IB.
