IN PHOTOS | Gov’t Agencies, 53IB Intervene for SDIP in Guipos
Various Government agencies and the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) intervened for Sustainable Development Intervention Program (SDIP) in Barangay Datagan, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur yesterday, August 16.
The SDIP is a program spearheaded by TESDA as the chair of Poverty Reduction, Livelihood, and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) of Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (TF-ELCAC).
Present in the SDIP were Guipos Vice Mayor Junevelle Lami-ing, Zamboanga del Sur Police Director PCol Roel Lami-ing, Mr. Rafael Poquita from Cooperative Development Authority – IX (CDA-IX), Ms. Arni Grace Sorro from Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Mr Jan Melvin Vallejo from Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Mr. Michael Vincent Macrohon from Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Mr. Jun Corgue from Philippine Information Agency (PIA), and 53IB Charlie Company Executive Officer Kim Cedrick Lemus.
Discussed during the program were Cooperative Development and Employment, Financial Literacy, Institutional Development and Product Identification and Packaging.
The PRLEC of ELCAC is the cluster that shall establish decisive and institutionalized as well as responsive measures, which would significantly address poverty affectation among marginalized communities and basic sectors.
