The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) and 1st Civil-Military Operations “Mahigalaon” Battalion (1CMOBn) continues to communicate the efforts of the government in addressing the five-decade-long communist insurgency and terrorism in the country through giving of leaflets at the hinterland barangay of Salvador in Dumingag town, Zamboanga del Sur on August 11, 2021.
The leaflets feature the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), highlighting the benefits that may be received by a former rebel should he or she lay down arms and return to the folds of law.
This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to strategically communicate the Army’s transformation to become world class that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
