FEATURED | 53IB Commander Presents The Matapat Eagle to Division Inspector General, Former Task Unit Commander

The Commanding Officer of the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera presented the Matapat Eagle token to 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division Inspector General and former Task Unit ‘Kaiser’ Commander Col. Billy Dela Rosa at the Exit Briefing for the Annual General Inspection (AGI) CY 2021 conducted by the Office Division Inspector General, 1ID, PA.

As the Commander of 102nd Infantry Brigade’s Task Unit ‘Kaiser’ campaign in CY 2020, Col. Dela Rosa supervised the Battalion in its focused military operations which resulted to the dismantling of MRGU and HQ KALAW all under the WMRPC.

The token depicts The Mighty Philippine Eagle, one of the rarest, strongest, fiercest, and most formidable bird in the world, symbolizes strength and power.
