EXEMPLIFYING EXCELLENCE THROUGH PASSION AND COMMITMENT: 53IB Receives Certificate of Excellence from Division Inspector General
The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) received a Certificate of Excellence for Annual General Inspection (AGI) CY 2021 conducted by the Office of the Inspector General, 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division, Philippine Army.
The AGI inspected 53IB’s Operational Readiness Evaluation (OPREVAL), Mission Accomplishment, Resource Management, and the unit’s Leadership, Morale and Welfare, and Discipline, Law, and Order. In his message, 1ID Inspector General Col. Billy Dela Rosa commended the unit for achieving the Excellent mark.
“I commend you for this achievement. This is a true manifestation that you live by excellence in all you do,” said Col. Dela Rosa. Meanwhile, 53IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera expressed his gratitude to the IG team and congratulated the Matapat Troopers for a job well done.
“I thank the IG team led by our Inspector General and former 102nd Brigade’s Task Unit ‘Kaiser’ Commander for this award. Most importantly, I thank and congratulate all Matapat Troopers for putting your heart and passion to your work,” said Lt. Col. Herrera.
The Certificate was presented by Col. Dela Rosa and was received by Lt. Col. Herrera at 53IB Headquarters, Camp Major David P Sabido, Poblacion, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur yesterday, August 10.
