TRANSPORTING COVID-19 VACCINES: 53IB Conducts Convoy Security for Covid-19 Vaccines in ZDS

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) conducted convoy security for Covid-19 Vaccine transportation from the Department of Health (DOH) office in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay Province to Pagadian City on August 9, 2021.

2,174 vials of Sinovac and 1,414 vials of AstraZeneca vaccines were successfully delivered to the ZDS Provincial Health Office.

53IB Charlie “Colossus” Company Executive Officer 2Lt. Kim Cedrick Lemus led the team of Matapat Troopers for security together with 2PMFC ZDS OIC led by P/Lt. Roguilito Otero, and the DOH IX team headed by Mr. Alex Lagos.
