PROMOTING GOV’T PROGRAMS: Army Conducts Community-Engagement Activities in Far-Flung Community

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) and 1st CMO “Mahigalaon” Battalion (1CMOBn) conducted community engagement activities in the hinterland barangay of Salvador, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur on July 29, 2021.

The Matapat and Mahigalaon Troopers conducted house-to-house visitations to inform the public of the goverment’s programs especially the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) which aims to help the rebel members of CPP-NPA-NDF and Militia ng Bayan to restore their allegiance to the Philippine government.

This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
