ACHIEVING A BETTER AND MORE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE | Government Agencies Intervene for Sustainable Development Program in Pagadian City
To achieve a better and more sustainable future for all, the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) teamed up with the different Government Agencies for the Sustainable Development Intervention Program (SDIP) at Brgy Dampalan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur on July 28, 2021.
The SDIP was spearheaded by TESDA as the chair of Poverty Reduction, Livelihood, and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) of Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (TF-ELCAC).
Also, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Forester Ms. Cicilia Asuncion turned-over seedlings of endangered species: the Red Nato and Narra to the beneficiaries while the Department of Agriculture (DA) through Mr. Junril Lambiyao turned-over the Pinakbet Seedlings, CaCao seedlings, coffee seedlings, and four (4) Native pigs and four (4) Native chickens to the beneficiaries.
Other activities and topics discussed by government agencies include: Introduction of Farm Input and Modern Agriculture, Introduction of Product and Technology, Institutional Development Session, Financial Literacy Session, NAPC Mandate and Sambayanihan Serbisyong Sambayanan Program, Land Reform Benefits, Scholarship for Higher Education, Introduction to ALS, supporting material for training production, and Bible distribution. This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
