The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) and the Municipal Government of Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur pressed on 53IB’s “Better Life: Adopt-a-CAFGU Program” for CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs) at Bolisong Patrol Base in Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur on July 26, 2021.
The LGU led by Kumalarang Mayor Ruel “Balong” Molina gave 15 and 1/2 sack of rice and other supplies to the CAAs of Bolisong Patrol Base. He also encouraged them to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Matapat Tropers led by 53IB’s Charlie Company Commander 1Lt. Alvin Ibarra also gave uniforms to the CAAs to improve their morale and well-being. The activity was also attended by PCpl Rikko Laputa and PCpl Sina Mandulin from Kumalarang Police Station, and SB Members Mark Kevin Roferos, Sandy Bualan, Abdulgani Edris and Rolando Jayme.
This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
