SERVING THE DESTITUTE | 53IB, NGO Organize Community Pantry

The CC-MMM Lending Corporation in partnership with the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) organized a community pantry in barangays Laperian and Langilan in San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur on July 18, 2021.

The activity was spearheaded by CC-MMM Lending Corporation CEO Marilou Felicia together with 53IB Charlie Company Commander 1Lt. Alvin Ibarra and Barangay Officials Hon. Jerry Gocotano, Hon. Macotay Ojas, Hon. Chielo Baterna, Hon. Jerom Lanjao, Marry Gocotano, Tres Aiza Pingkian, and PNP San Miguel.

The Matapat Troopers’ participation in this activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
