COMMUNITY SERVICE | Army, LGU Participates in Clean-up Drive

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) and 1st CMO “Mahigalaon” Battalion (1CMOBn) conducted community engagement activities in the hinterland barangay of Salvador, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur on July 15, 2021.

The Matapat and Mahigalaon Troopers participated in a clean-up drive at Puroks 1 and 2 of the said Barangay together with the Salvador Youth Association headed by Youth President Ms Geselle Ann Cruz and SK President by Mr. Charlie Pacaro.

The activity aims to maintain the cleanliness of the barangay with the help of the youth.

This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
