APPRECIATION TO CAFGUS | 53IB, LGU Bring Adopt-a-CAFGU Program in Geographically Isolated Patrol Base, Community
The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) in partnership with the Municipal Government of Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur brought its Better Life: Adopt-a-CAFGU Program at the geographically isolated patrol base in Barangay Saad, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur on July 14, 2021.
Activities for Better Life: Adopt-a-CAFGU Program included free visitation check-up, operation tuli, dental mission, giving of free medicines, giving of food packs composed of rice and canned goods, giving of uniforms, free haircut, a lecture on the CAAs’ Individual Scorecard, and giving of Certificates of Recognition to the CAAs of Saad Patrol Base.
This activity benefitted the CAAs, their dependents, and the residents of Barangay Saad and was attended by Dumingag ABC President Jerson Cabahug; Dra. Ju Kanra Panugao; Saad Barangay Chairman Jeffrey Señara’ NCIP Region IX and party led Mrs. Margarita Baya; Representative from PNP Dumingag; staff from Municipal Planning and Development Office; and 53IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col Jo-ar Herrera 53IB Bravo Company Commander 1Lt. Niel Kim Garcia.
This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
