COMMUNITY SERVICE | Army, LGU Conduct Community-Engagement Activities in Far-Flung Community
The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) and 1st CMO “Mahigalaon” Battalion (1CMOBn) conducted community engagement activities in the hinterland barangay of Salvador, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Suron July 10-13, 2021.
The Matapat and Mahigalaon Troopers conducted house-to-house visitations at Puroks 1, 2, and 3 of the said Barangay to understand the community’s way of living and culture and to inform them of any possible Communist-NPA terroristic activities.
This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
