DEVELOPMENT AND PROGRESS | Lakewood LGU, 53IB Converge for Infra Projects

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) converged with Lakewood mayor Domingo Mirrar on July 12, 2021 for the implementation of infrastructure projects in the said municipality.

Topics discussed were the following: schedule of groundbreaking of housing for Indigenous Peoples (IPs) in Barangay Dagum, Lakewood; spillway in Barangay Baking, Lakewood; security assistance for the road opening at Purok 3, Sitio Lanayan, Barangay Gasa, Lakewood; and publishing of Breaking Free book.

Convergence with Local Chief Executives (LCEs) to improve the life of citizens is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
