PEACE AND SECURITY INITIATIVES | 53IB Provides Updates on Peace and Order Council Meeting in Molave
The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion provided updates on its peace and security initiatives during the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) Meeting presided by Molave mayor Cyril Reo Glepa held at the Mayor’s Office, Molave Municipal Hall, Zamboanga del Sur on 13 July 2021.
2Lt. Kim Kenneth Beloro, 53IB’s Bravo Company Executive Officer, presented the Current Enemy Situation Update, ELCAC Projects, 53IB’s peacebuilding efforts, community engagements, Project Good Life for Friends Rescued (FRs), the Better Life: Adopt-a-CAFGU Project, and Public Information efforts.
Molave mayor Cyril Reo Glepa also committed to give monthly honorarium to CAFGU Activie Auxiliaries (CAAs) assigned in Molave on top of the the municipality’s MEDCAP and gift-giving as part of 53IB’s Better Life: Adopt-a-CAFGU Program.
Other topics discussed by other government agencies include were the justification for the Audit Observation Memorandum (AOM), status of Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Plan 2021 Implementation, updates on COVID vaccination, and updates on PNP’s Anti-Drug Abuse efforts.
This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
