STARTING ANEW | Friends Rescued Receive E-CLIP Assistance From Gov’t

Five Friends Rescued (FRs) who are now under the care of the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) received their benefits under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Interation Program (E-CLIP) at Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Office, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte yesterday, July 12, 2021.

The cash assistance amounting to a total of PhP 325,000 or PhP 65,000 each Friend Rescued composed of PhP 50,000 livelihood assistance and PhP 15,000 immediate cash assistance, was given by ZamboNorte DILG Provincial Director Oliver Ombos.

E-CLIP is the government’s program to reintegrate Friends Rescued back to the mainstream society, be with their families, and start over with their new, normal lives.In a statement, 53IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera said the E-CLIP benefits will significantly help the Friends Rescued go back to their normal lives.”

With these livelihood and immediate cash assistance, our Friends Rescued now have a headstart and can start lives anew,” said Lt. Col. Herrera.The five Friends Rescued are also students of 53IB’s Project Good Life.
