AGENTS OF NATION-BUILDING/ Army Empowers Youth in Hinterland Barangay

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) and 1st CMO “Mahigalaon” Battalion (1CMOBn) conducted meeting with the youth of the barangay, in partnership with the officials of the hinterland barangay of Salvador, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur on July 7, 2021.

The meeting was intended to inspire the youth and set the schedule for clean up drive, tree planting, and other activities that can be done with the help of the youth in the community.

This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
