53IB, LGU Facilitate Burial of Fallen Soldier in Pitogo, ZDS

The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) together with the Local Government of Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur, facilitated the burial of late Private First Class Christopher Rollon at Pitogo Cemetery on 07 July 2021.

PFC Rollon was one of the casualties of the C-130 plane crash in Sulu last July 4. He was a resident of Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur. A Gun Salute was also held at his burial to honor his patriotism as member of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

This activity is part of 53IB’s drive to pursue transformation to become a world-class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
